In line with his new album drop, Tyler, the Creator is allowing fans to make their own version of the LP cover, which is designed like a travel document.
The artwork generator lets fans add their name, date of birth, place of issue, and image to a license template. Plus, you can draw on your signature for that extra personal touch.
Over the weekend, Tyler went on Twitter to answer fans’ questions about the new album. Asked if the Call Me If You Get Lost album cover was a reference to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, Tyler denied this, stating that he’d been inspired by “old passport and travel cards from (the) early 1900s.”
He added: “But they do mimic each other because most IDs have the same shape in design. This is most people’s reference point for an ID on a rap album so of course this gets brought up. (Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s) ”Raw Hide” is a ten.”
The LA artist released his sixth studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost, on Friday last week (June 25) after a speedy rollout that involved a billboard campaign and phone number in his city. Fresh off the release, Tyler performed record single ”Lumberjack” at last night’s (June 27) BET Awards in the midst of a windstorm, attempting to read his mail and make it to his house, which promptly blows away.
