The Converse All Stars deliver a manifesto for change in creative spaces

At the final Open to Change mentorship session, the All Stars reflected on Samuel Ross’s Manifesto for Change, laying out the impact they want to make through their work

“I see the need for critical thinking. I see new archetypes. I see barriers ready to be broken by young people who want to make a difference.” Part of the impactful statement set out by Samuel Ross in the Manifesto for Change film, directed by Gabriel Moses, this vision is what grounded the final session of the Open to Change mentorship series we recently hosted with Converse.

After a "head to head" ideas exchange on positive impact and a roundtable on “creating with purpose”, our All Stars reflected on those original statements set out by Samuel Ross in his Manifesto for Change and how it related to their own work. All Stars Fa and Fon Watkins, Jaimus Taylor, Reece Yeboah, Coco Mell and Nathan Clement then delivered a mini Manifesto for Change of their own. Watch them below.

The Converse All Stars joined Samuel Ross and Yi Ng from A-Cold-Wall* and filmmaker Bafic at the IRL event at 180, the Strand, to talk making a difference through creativity. Our All Stars are young creatives driven, and connected, by the desire to make a positive difference in their respective fields, whether that be art direction, filmmaking or fashion design. Through mini workshops designed to spark collaborative and critical thinking, their disciplines and creative ambitions came together IRL on the day.
