While Olivia Rodrigo has soundtracked many young people’s teenage years, helping them reflect on that tumultuous period, her advocacy for teenagers and young people doesn’t stop at her music.
Yesterday (March 12), Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour landed in St. Louis, Missouri, and concertgoers received free Plan B pills from Julie, condoms and stickers from the Missouri Abortion Fund, who provide financial assistance for Missouri residents who cannot afford the full cost of abortion care.
The gesture was part of Rodrigo’s new global reproductive rights initiative, ‘Fund 4 Good’ – a play on her song “Good 4 U”. In a TikTok video, shared last month, she described the endeavour: “The Fund 4 Good works to support all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom. The fund will directly support community-based nonprofits that champion things like girls’ education, support reproductive rights, and prevent gender-based violence.”
For the entire North American leg of her tour, Rodrigo will be partnering with the National Network of Abortion Funds to help those impacted by healthcare barriers since the overturning of Roe v Wade in 2022.
A portion of all ticket sales from her GUTS World Tour will be donated to ‘Fund 4 Good’, and you can learn more about the fight for abortion access at the National Network of Abortion Funds table that will be at every GUTS World Tour stop.
